Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

The Site and the League are intended for adults only. You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account, use the Site, or participate in the League. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Accounts and Registration

To access certain features of the Site (such as rosters, schedules, and league communications), you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration;
• Maintain and promptly update your account information;
• Keep your login credentials confidential and not share your account with others;
• Notify us immediately at seattlewffl@gmail.com of any unauthorized use of your account.

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms or League rules.

3. League Participation

The Site is an administrative tool for the League. Participation in League activities (games, practices, and events) is governed by separate League rules and a separate liability waiver, which all participants must sign before playing. Nothing in these Terms replaces or modifies that waiver. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the signed waiver regarding physical activity and injury, the waiver controls.

4. Fees and Payments

The Site does not process payments. Any League fees, registration dues, or other payments are handled outside the Site (for example, via Venmo or other third-party payment services). We are not responsible for the availability, security, or performance of any third-party payment service, and your use of such services is governed by their own terms and policies. Payment disputes should be directed to League administrators at seattlewffl@gmail.com.

5. Privacy of Member Information

Protecting our members from unwanted contact and exposure is a priority. Certain areas of the Site — including rosters, member contact information, schedules, and internal communications — are restricted to registered, logged-in members ("Member Content").

You agree that you will NOT:

• Share, publish, post, or otherwise disclose Member Content, including other members' names, contact information, photos, or schedules, to any person outside the League or to the general public without the affected member's express consent;
• Scrape, harvest, copy, or systematically collect any data from the Site;
• Use other members' contact information for any purpose unrelated to League activities, including solicitation, marketing, or commercial purposes;
• Provide your login credentials to non-members or otherwise enable non-members to access Member Content.

Violation of this Section is grounds for immediate account termination and removal from the League, and may expose you to legal liability to us and to affected members.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Site to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or defame any person, including League members, administrators, officials, or opponents;
• Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable;
• Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
• Interfere with or disrupt the Site, its servers, or its networks, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, other accounts, or systems;
• Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
• Use the Site for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent;
• Violate any applicable law or regulation.

7. User Content

If the Site allows you to post content (comments, photos, messages, etc.), you retain ownership of your content but grant the League a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the League and the Site. You represent that you have all rights necessary to post your content and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

We may remove any user content at our sole discretion, without notice, for any reason.

8. Intellectual Property

The Site and its original content, features, and functionality (excluding user content) are owned by the League and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Site without our prior written consent.

9. Third-Party Services

The Site relies on third-party service providers, including hosting, authentication, and database services (such as Supabase), and may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, security, or practices of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SITE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (B) DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED; (C) THE SITE OR THE SERVERS THAT MAKE IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS; OR (D) ANY DATA, INCLUDING PERSONAL INFORMATION, TRANSMITTED TO OR STORED THROUGH THE SITE WILL BE SECURE OR NOT ACCESSED, DISCLOSED, ALTERED, OR DESTROYED BY UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTIES.

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT NO METHOD OF TRANSMISSION OVER THE INTERNET OR METHOD OF ELECTRONIC STORAGE IS 100% SECURE, AND YOU PROVIDE YOUR INFORMATION AT YOUR OWN RISK.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LEAGUE, ITS ORGANIZERS, ADMINISTRATORS, OFFICERS, VOLUNTEERS, COMMISSIONERS, OFFICIALS, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES (COLLECTIVELY, THE "LEAGUE PARTIES") BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM:

• UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO, USE OF, OR DISCLOSURE OF YOUR DATA OR PERSONAL INFORMATION, INCLUDING AS A RESULT OF A SECURITY INCIDENT, DATA BREACH, OR HACKING OF THE SITE OR ANY THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDER;
• ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON OR THROUGH THE SITE;
• ANY INTERRUPTION, SUSPENSION, OR TERMINATION OF THE SITE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF THE LEAGUE PARTIES FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO THE LEAGUE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) FIFTY DOLLARS ($50 USD).

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the League Parties from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of another person, including other League members; or (d) any content you post or submit through the Site.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Site at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Site ceases immediately. Sections 5, 7, 8, and 10 through 17 survive termination.

14. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

15. Informal Resolution

Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us at seattlewffl@gmail.com and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on the Site and update the Effective Date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. General

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the League regarding the Site. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them without restriction.
